Nigel Sleaford
“Music swims back to me.”
With two decades of experience teaching and performing, Nigel now finds inspiration in the ‘floating world,’ crafting ripples of sound that feel like whispers from the edge of a waterfall.
Ella Mehlberg
An emerging songwriter with decades of experience immersed in the traditions of American folk and fingerstyle guitar. Now stepping into her own as a creator, she crafts songs that blend raw self-expression with a provocative, heartwarming depth.
Shirley Barr
Quirky, insightful, and sumptuously layered, Shirley’s songwriting is a feast for the senses. Her beautiful melodies and novel lyrics create soundscapes that leave you wanting more.
Carolin Waldmann
Carolin weaves a wild, pure tapestry of sound, born of the moment. Her songs, often shaped with David, dance between the ethereal and the grounded, co-created in the moment and inspired by humans and occasions they honour and hold dear. With experimental textures, her loop station, the drone of her shruti box, or the silence of wordless expression, she crafts a unique sonic signature and experimental ways that may even include an audience choir on the night.
David Hammond
David has been writing songs for 50 years now, both contemplative and upbeat, often inspired by and in nature. Drawn to express universal themes of coming home to ourselves and love in its myriad forms, he especially delights in making up songs on the spot, around the kitchen table, inspired by the moment and the magic of the voices and instruments present.
Entry by donation at the Box Office or on the doors on the night.
