SUMMARY:Christmas wreath making in felt – near Buckie
DESCRIPTION:Experience Level: Beginner but all levels are welcome \n\n\n\nMedium: Felt. All materials are included \n\n\n\nLocation: Drybridge \n\n\n\nJoin me for a festive two-day creative workshop where you’ll learn a range of felt-making techniques to create your own beautiful winter-inspired wreath. Suitable for beginners and welcoming to all experience levels\, this immersive workshop will introduce you to the art of wet felting\, needle felting and sculptural felt-making\, giving you the opportunity to explore the unique qualities of wool and develop a variety of textile skills. \n\n\n\nOver the two days\, you’ll learn how to create felted leaves\, berries\, flowers and seasonal decorative elements\, combining wet-felted forms with detailed needle-felted and sculptural components to build texture\, depth and visual interest. With step-by-step guidance in a small\, supportive group\, you’ll design and assemble your wreath\, exploring colour\, composition and finishing techniques to create a piece that reflects your own style. By the end of the workshop\, you’ll leave with a stunning handcrafted winter wreath ready to display in your home\, along with a wealth of new felt-making skills\, creative confidence and inspiration for future textile projects. \n\n\n\nDirections to the venue will be provided with cooking confirmation \n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nSaturday 24 and Sunday 25 October 10am-2pm

DESCRIPTION:Weekly Dru Yoga class take place every WEDNESDAY  in the MASONIC HALL in Forres at 10 am. \n\n\n\nWHAT STUDENTS SAY ABOUT THIS CLASSThis class is awesome!!  \n\n\n\nToday it delivered to me exactly what I needed: work on my lower back pain\, rest\, breath and positive affirmations and visualisation on the future…new ways to see the world more beautifully… plus did you know it’s 2 hours of yoga bliss! \n\n\n\nThank you Eva\, for the light\, fun\, connection and yoga you deliver every week xx \n\n\n\nI need registration for this class in advance as I want to make sure tosee each of you clearly in case help is needed\, and of course we need toassure you can be spaced out for safety. I also bring some equipmentwhich maybe useful for my students. Thiscreates flexibility and a free flow of subtle energy. \n\n\n\nEnergy Block Release sequences (EBRs) are easy-to-practise\, flowingmovements that help to release tension physically\, mentally andemotionally. \n\n\n\nIn Dru Yoga all movements originate from the spine because a flexible\,healthy spine supports your entire yoga practice. \n\n\n\nThe spinal wave and spinal twist are core features of Dru\, enhancingspinal health and vitality. \n\n\n\nA deep understanding of core stability is a major focus. \n\n\n\nDru Yoga works to balance the chakras (energy centres of the body) andaccess the powerful energy of the heart. \n\n\n\nWithin the flow of movement\, Dru Yoga creates powerful moments ofstillness which we call ‘Dru points’. \n\n\n\nWHAT DOES ‘DRU’ MEAN? \n\n\n\nDru comes from the Sanskrit word dhruva\, which refers to the stillnessthat can be experienced in Dru Yoga and Dru Meditation. In thisstillness we are able to sit back from anything that may be happeningaround us\, and see and act from a point of clarity and inner calm.

DESCRIPTION:An artist-led creative morning with Helen A Noyce. \n\n\n\nAlso on Saturday 19 September. \n\n\n\n\nAll materials provided.\n\n\n\nTea\, coffee and homemade cake included.\n\n\n\nNo experience needed.\n\n\n\n\nThe setting \n\n\n\nSurrounded by water\, woodland and the historic buildings of the Altyre Estate\, Blair’s Loch offers a beautiful and atmospheric place to pause\, look closely and make. The surroundings will form part of the creative experience\, inviting participants to notice colours\, shapes\, textures and details that are easily overlooked. \n\n\n\nAbout the artist \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHelen A. Noyce is a practising artist and experienced educator based in Moray. A graduate of Edinburgh College of Art\, she has taught in schools for over 20 years\, including 11 years as Head of Art and Design\, alongside leading creative workshops for adults and children in the wider community. Her own practice explores colour\, light\, landscape and place through painting\, drawing\, collage and mixed media.
