SUMMARY:Late Night Art: Wine About It – Findhorn
DESCRIPTION:Wine About It presents a collection of work developed by Codie Anne over two years\, emerging from her dissertation research into the longstanding distinctions and controversies between art and craft\, with a particular focus on crochet and fibre arts. The body of work was recognised with both the SSA New Graduate Award and the Millers Art Prize. \n\n\n\nCrochet is Codie’s chosen medium and a central part of her artistic practice. As a technique that cannot be fully replicated by machines\, crochet becomes an act of resistance against industries and systems that prioritise automation\, mass production and commodification. In a world shaped by fast fashion\, artificial intelligence and a fine art market that often distances itself from labour and making\, each stitch asserts the value of human skill\, time and touch. \n\n\n\nFor tickets and more info\, see www.findhornbayfestival.com

SUMMARY:Late Night Art: Lucy Dodd – Findhorn
DESCRIPTION:New York-born and now Moray-based Lucy Dodd creates immersive abstract paintings that evoke vast cosmic\, natural and spiritual landscapes. Her work reimagines the traditions of lyrical abstraction and action painting through a deeply experimental and intuitive approach. \n\n\n\nAt the heart of Dodd’s practice is her use of natural materials. She creates pigments from walnut shells\, yew berries\, nettles\, lichens\, tea\, kombucha\, minerals and soils gathered from around the world. Applied as powders\, liquids or raw organic matter\, these materials react with the canvas to produce rich\, unpredictable colours and textures. \n\n\n\nBalancing intention with chance\, Dodd allows natural processes to shape her compositions. Swirling forms\, mineral patterns and organic marks emerge through layering\, smudging\, erasing and reworking pigment. The resulting paintings suggest fossils\, corals\, constellations and geological formations\, creating worlds that feel both ancient and otherworldly. Bold\, atmospheric and deeply expressive. \n\n\n\nFor tickets and more info\, see www.findhornbayfestival.com

SUMMARY:Late Night Art: John McGeoch – Edinkillie
DESCRIPTION:Bringing together artworks\, film\, projections\, spoken word\, interactive elements and unexpected discoveries\, this immersive exhibition invites visitors into the imaginative world of John McGeoch\, founder of Arts In Motion and creators of the Burke & Hare Stage at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival. \n\n\n\nPart installation\, part creative playground\, it offers a rich landscape of ideas where images\, stories\, objects and observations collide. Drawing on both low- and high-tech approaches\, McGeoch follows curiosity wherever it leads\, embracing experimentation\, playfulness and surprise. \n\n\n\nAt its heart\, the exhibition explores creativity itself – where inspiration comes from\, how ideas evolve\, and what happens when we permit ourselves to imagine. Visitors are encouraged to look more closely\, think differently and discover delight in the small details that often go unnoticed. \n\n\n\nA joyful celebration of curiosity\, creativity and the endless possibilities of imagination. \n\n\n\nFor tickets and more info\, see www.findhornbayfestival.com
