Supercars and spectators gathered on the Plainstones of Elgin on Saturday for the 10th anniversary of the CannonBawz Run.
Held to raise money for the Marfan Trust, the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation and The Marie Crawford Boyd Foundation, 45 vehicles paraded through the main street before setting off on a 500-mile tour of the Highlands.
Organiser Kris O’ Neill said: “Cannonbawz X went very well. It was lovely to see everyone come down and enjoy and get photos with the cars under the arch and with Highland cosplay members, Batman, Capt Jack Sparrow and Highland Ghostbusters.
“The event itself was great fun. Despite the rain, Cannonbawz carried on, and we had a great overnight stop in Ullapool.
“The charity auction had an unexpected turn with an international feel as West indies cricket sensation and good friend Chris Gayle bid and won a bottle of rum for £300! It was hand-delivered to Chris from Vicky who regularly travels from London to attend the Cannonbawz run.
“We also had the winner of Cannonball Run USA, Jay Roberts on board!
The second day saw drivers visit North Point Distillery in Thurso to fill a Cannonbawz Run cask. The event finished at Dunrobbin Castle near Golspie.
The 2024 Cannonbawz X raised a huge £6900 that will be split between Marfan Trust, Marie Crawford Boyd Foundation and Children’s Liver Disease Charity at Christmas.”
